Our Story

Tech-Control was founded to provide practical, intelligent engineering solutions built on real-world experience.

With backgrounds spanning refrigeration engineering, industrial controls, automation, live performance technology, and embedded electronics, we combine hands-on technical knowledge with modern control and connectivity systems to solve problems that many off-the-shelf solutions cannot.

We specialise in refrigeration controls, RDM commissioning, fault finding, remote monitoring, and bespoke automation systems, with a strong focus on reliability, serviceability, and long-term practical operation.

Tech-Control is led by Director Anthony Lomas, one of the country’s most respected engineers within the refrigeration controls and automation sector, with decades of hands-on experience in refrigeration engineering, fault finding, control systems, commissioning, and bespoke automation.

Alongside his engineering career, Anthony is also an accomplished professional musician and live performer, having performed as keyboard player for T-Rex and Dave Berry & The Cruisers amongst others.

This unusual combination of engineering and live performance experience has helped shape Tech-Control’s practical, reliability-focused approach to technology — where systems must not only be technically capable, but dependable under real-world operating conditions.

Working alongside Anthony is fellow Director Nancy Lomas, whose professional experience extends well beyond the engineering sector. Alongside her successful career as an award-winning performer, songwriter, presenter and event manager, Nancy has spent many years managing productions, coordinating logistics, working directly with clients and delivering live events across the UK and Europe.

At Tech-Control, Nancy oversees the day-to-day operation of the business, customer liaison, project coordination and administration, whilst also providing practical assistance on-site where required. Her attention to detail, organisational skills and commitment to customer service help ensure every project is delivered professionally from the initial enquiry through to completion.

Together, Anthony and Nancy combine engineering expertise with strong operational management, providing customers with a responsive, personal service and the reassurance of dealing directly with the company’s directors throughout every stage of a project.
